4th of July Weekend

Yes, I am just now to July (and it is September).  Like I said, I have a LOT of catching up to do.  The truth is that we just got a new laptop so it has motivated me to get the blog all caught up.  For the 4th weekend, we went to KY to visit family.  We had only been to see Rich's family once since Reese was born so it was time for a trip.  Traveling with a baby is much harder than I thought.  He was great for the trip though.  Here are some pictures of our trip.

During month 7, Rich and I heard lots of commotion going on in the nursery.  When we walked in we saw Reese standing up in his crib!  He was so proud of himself.  He also started wearing shoes regularly during Month 7.

Vacation 2010

We usually go to the beach for vacation, but the oil spill had us a little afraid to spend money on a condo and not get to use the beach.  Oh and the fear of Reese screaming in his car seat for 10 hours also helped in our decision.  We decided to go to Center Hill lake for 2 days to visit my grandmother and go out on my uncle's pontoon boat.  Then we went to Gatlinburg for 4 days.  It was a wonderful vacation!  Reese did scream for the 2 hours from my grandmother's house to Gatlinburg... the entire time.  It was great to just get to spend time with my boys (and the Outlets Mall in G'burg was amazing).

80's Baby Shower

My friend Tiffany had an 80's baby shower that we all had fun dressing up for.  I love hanging out with my friends and getting to spend time with them.  Girl's Nights are essential for my sanity.  I always feel refreshed after hanging out with my friends.  Sweet Cooper is already here.  The shower was in June.  I know, I know, I'm so behind!!!

Smithville, TN

Here are just a few pictures I took when my mom and I took a trip to Smithville.  Smithville is where my grandmother lives.  Some of my uncles and aunts live there as well.  It is only about an hour and a half away, and is in the middle of nowhere.  It is very peaceful and quiet there.  My grandmother lives about 5 minutes away from Center Hill lake, which is one of the prettiest lakes around.  It is always nice to get away and get to see her.

Reese and His Friends

Reese has a gigantic love for animals.  Any and all animals he tries to get to.  My grandmother's poor dog has been the main victim of this love for animals.  Reese likes to chase the dog, grab it ears and pull them as hard as he can, and then grabs a handfull of hair and pulls it out.  The dog sees us coming and runs to hide.  Reese throws a fit if the dog leaves the room.  Here are some pictures of Reese with his friends.

Month 7... The Forgotten Month

My blog has taken a backseat to lots of playing with my sweet boys. Get ready for a "blog roll." It is time to catch up on what all has been happening these past few months with us. Like I said, we have been really busy doing lots of playing. Here are Reese's 7 month accomplishments and pictures. The big 7 month accomplishment = Reese started pulling up and "creeping." Reese is still loving all of his babyfoods. We started Organic Puffs (halved), and added a sippy cup in the mix. He hasn't really done anything with the sippy besides throw it on the ground and chew on it.

As you can see, he is into anything and everything.
