Learning to Walk

Reese has been pulling up on everything and will cruise around anything and everything he can.  I can tell that the day that he is going to take off walking is coming soon.  He took his first step all by himself on October 7th (10 months old).  He hasn't taken more than one at a time without holding onto something though.  He'll take one step and then go straight to his knees.  Then he will throw up both of his hands and squeal with excitement.  He is so proud of himself.  You can tell that he wants to walk so bad, but then he realizes he can get to wherever he is going faster by crawling.  We got him a toy that he loves to hold onto and walk with.  He gets to our kitchen cabinets and realizes he can't turn it around.  He ends up ramming it over and over into the cabinets until one of us turns it around for him.  Reese brings so much joy to our lives.  It is so fun to watch him explore the world around him.

Reese's First Kentucky Game

Rich's aunt got us tickets for the Western KY/ KY game.  We had an incredible weekend together.  We left at about 9:00 Saturday morning and drove up to Lexington.  We pricelined our hotel and got to stay at the Hyatt Regency (which is connected to Rupp Arena).  We checked in and went shopping at the mall in Lexington, which is HUGE.  We got lots of UK gear and headed out to meet Rich's aunt.  She has a parking pass, and we literally got to park about 50 feet from entrance to the stadium.  Reese loved being at the game and had everyone around us laughing.  He clapped with the band and squealed during the game.  It was perfect.  KY won which made the night even better.  The game ended a little late so we had a pizza delivered to our hotel and just watched movies.  The next day, we walked to the Starbucks and around downtown Lexington for a little bit and ate at an amazing burger place(Sawyers).  Then we packed up the car and headed home.  It was nice to get away with my boys for just a little bit.

Labor Day Weekend

Yep, I'm still trying to catch up our blog.  A few more to go, and I'll be all caught up.  We had a great Labor Day weekend together.  It was so nice to get an extra day with the boys.  On Monday, we woke up early and just spen time playing with Reese.  Then we all went to a cook-out at my parent's house.  Reese loves getting to go to Nana and Gramps house.

9 Months

Reese started eating more finger foods during month 9 (green beans, carrots, cheese, puffs, etc) and loves it all!  He thinks it funny to gag until he pukes, but other than that it's going great.  He weighed 21.5 lbs and his height was 29 inches.  He is such a happy boy.  He has two bottom teeth, and is now officially finished with breastfeeding.  He absolutely loves being with other kids and playing all the time.  Here are some pictures of our sweet 9 month old.

Peek-a-Boo

We have found a fantastic place for playdates with friends.  Peek-a-boo is amazing for any kids ages 7 months-probably 7 years old.  They have a really comfortable sitting area for the adults and the kids literally just go play and have a blast!  Here are some pictures of our first adventure at Peek-a-Boo.
